The demanding 75-mile route is a hilly ride over the border into the stunning limestone country of the Yorkshire Dales. Leaving Clitheroe, the course heads up the Ribble Valley, skirting the shoulder of Pendle Hill and descending into Barnoldswick before crossing into Yorkshire and climbing out of Malham up to the head of the course near Malham Tarn. The route returns to Clitheroe via Settle and through the Forest of Bowland to the pretty village of Chipping before returning to Clitheroe. Total ascent: 1893 metres.
